Ticehurst – Bewl Water 3.4m

A fabulous way to enjoy a little bit of Bewl Water if you don’t want to do the whole way round – a walk that starts in Ticehurst, crosses fields and farm lanes and then follows the water’s edge for a while.

From the high street, there is a twitten in between shops to get to the footpaths, it is signed but you have to be looking carefully to spot it. The section on Cross Lane does not have footpaths, it’s a quiet lane but take care.

Parking: free car park in village. Public transport: bus stops nearby.

Walked, checked, measured and photographed: June 2021.

To follow an interactive map on your phone, install the free Map my Walk app and see our “How to” page. If you are following on your phone, remember that signal can be patchy in rural areas or dense woodland, we strongly recommend a printed map or screenshot backup.
