Free weekly one hour group walks led by trained volunteers
Our other TCV walking project is East Sussex Health Walks.
Health walks are weekly one hour walks designed to help people to gradually build up their fitness in a manageable and sociable way. Because they are every week, at the same time and the same place, they create a sense of appointment that increases motivation and makes them more likely to become a regular habit.
They are completely free to join and there is absolutely no need to book or make any sort of commitment – just pop along shortly before the start time.
We have health walks dotted around the county, click here for an up to date list.

Volunteer Health Walk Leaders
All of these walks are led by trained community volunteers who are there to guide the way and make sure everyone is managing.
If you love walking and want to help people in your community to get more active, perhaps you’d like to join the leader team near you? No one is expected to lead every week, once or twice a month is perfect. There is a small amount of training and we provide all of the equipment, maps and risk assessments.
