A lovely footpath loop that skirts the Castle and Observatory grounds – fabulous views across to the Downs, a pretty wood, a charming churchyard, and the most amazingly gnarly ancient Sweet Chestnut trees.
Also now includes the Halley’s Comet inspired sculpture on the 1066 Sculpture Trail.
Parking: lay by parking. Public transport: nearby bus stops. Can be muddy; steep in places.
