Glorious views along this hilly walk, make sure you keep stopping to look back.
This route starts in Gibbet Marsh car park and then heads along the road for a short way; just past the bridge there is a step into a meandering riverside path. The paths up the hill are really quite steep and there is a serious set of steps at one point. But wow, the views.
Parking: pay and display car park. Public transport: nearby bus stops; 0.25 mile walk from Rye Station.
Health walks: if you would like to join a group walk from here, our Rye Health Walk meets in this car park every Monday morning just before 10am. It’s a completely free one hour walk, no need to book, just pop along.
