The Pells is a beautiful L-shaped channel of water teeming with ducks and surrounded by elegant trees. This walk follows the Sussex Ouse Way along the riverbank, cuts under the railway and returns through a pretty woodland section, quiet residential area and twittens.
Parking: pay and display parking at Brook Street, but I think this might be the cheapest car park in the town and can fill up quickly. Public transport: nearby bus stops; approx half a mile from train station.
Health walk: if you’d like to join a group walk in the Lewes area, come and find us at The Needlemakers every Friday just before 10am. It will be a walk of about an hour walk led by trained community volunteers, completely free to take part and no need to book, just pop along.
