A beautiful mature park with a lovely lake, lots of water birds, a woodland and a section of all-weather boardwalk.
Lots of benches, lots of opportunities for exploring different little routes. There’s also a cafe, a toilet block and brilliant kids’ play equipment. And look out for the herons’ nests perched precariously in the treetops on the island in the middle of the lake in spring!
Parking: free car park and on street parking. Public transport: nearby bus stops; approx 0.25 miles from Hampden Park train station.
Health walk: if you’d like to join a group walk around this area, come and meet our health walkers on Tuesday mornings just before 10.30am near the cafe. It’s a one hour walk led by trained community volunteers, completely free to take part and no need to book, just pop along!
