Barcombe Cross – Knowlands Wood 2.7m

Lovely woodland nature reserve and rolling rural footpaths.

Knowlands Wood is a private wood but with signs that say responsible walkers are welcome. This walk reaches there via field footpaths and a little trip around the Wild About Barcombe gardens.

I walked this in summer and one of the public footpaths that went through a hedge was quite overgrown and hard to spot, marked on the map.

Parking: free public car park in village behind the shop. Public transport: nearby bus stops.

Walked, checked, measured and photographed: June 2021
