There are two tiny woods in West Bexhill that make for enjoyable little walks individually or enjoy them both with a bit of quiet, pretty residential streets in between.
A walk around Collington Wood is about half a mile, Gillham Wood is only about 0.3 miles. Link them via the twitten out of Collington Wood and along the quiet Hawkhurst Way for a two mile stroll.

Accessibility: Collington Wood has a surfaced central path suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, plus a very nice playground and meadow area. The minor paths marked on this map won’t be for everyone but this is definitely a place where you can enjoy a pretty woodland feel from an accessible path.
Gillham Wood is a Sussex Wildlife Trust woodland, bequeathed to be looked after for nature.
Parking: on street parking near both entrances. Public transport: bus stops near both entrances.
